Throughout the summer and fall the Nature Center becomes Camp WhompingWillow Friday nights 
(June 15, 22, July 6, 13, August 17, 24, September 14, 28). We turn on the sprinklers when the sun is blaring. You can pitch your tent at your convenience under our sycamores and cherry trees as early as 4:00pm that day and we’ll light the fire for S’mores around 7:30pm. We meet and greet the animals of the nature center and have a bedtime story by the fire after a few night games in the field once the stars are out. You pay one flat rate per tent ($10) which includes middle-of-the-night access to our nice restroom (so it’s a bit more glamping than camping).
Weather will cancel a Friday campout (threatening thunderstorms or extreme heat) and your payment will be transferred to a future campout date of your choice.
