Well, we've seen two different teams. One that looks like they are going to be a wildcard team...and one that looks like they are going to be cellar dwellers. Are they just not trying to show too much, or do they really stink that bad? Which do you think the skins will be?

If the rushing totals Panthers and Jets put on us are any indication, it could be a VERY long season.

This week will be a real test for them. Several key injuries with Heyer & Taylor and playing one of the top 2 or 3 teams in the league on the road. So far they have looked very solid in the last 2 games after having a rough start against the Giants on opening day. It is still early but the team looks much better offensively than they did under Joe Gibbs so far.

Don't get too excited. Zorn made two BAD decisions by not going for the TD at the end of the 2nd and by pooching the kick-off to start the second half. And that twiut that cost us 12 points for penalties needs to do two-a-days for a freaking month!!!!!

I didn't get that kick off at all. Just boggles the mind. I've had a ball so far today laughing at the couple Dallas fans I know at the office, and its great to see Skins' jerseys all over.

Campbell has really surprised me so far this season. I had figured by now we would be in yet another QB controversy. Quite impressed also by our pass defense, its getting better. Even though we gave up a lot of yards, it was given up to a very good pass heavy team.

Oh, and the Eagles losing was icing on the cake for the weekend. :)

I think the Redskins are for real this year. Always forget about week 1...even with the Rams loss, the Redskins have been more consistant than in previous seasons so I am going to make a bold prediction right now. The winner of the Giants/Redskins next contest will win the NFC East and battle the Bears for the NFC Championship. Let me also say that the Cowboys are still a very good team, but they are showing signs of unravelling i.e. Eagles of last year.

I agree. Zorn has proven he has what it takes to be head coach AND that the Skins have the talent and just needed the right leader/scheme. With Snyder's past hiring failures and the questionable way Zorn went from QB coach to offensive coordinator to head coach in just a couple weeks, I was concerned it might be another poorly thought out decision. I could not be happier to see the way they are developing and building a real chemistry. I am also very impressed with Greg Blache. Our defense is solid every week regardless of who is hurt.

The Skins have a some tough games on the schedule but at least 4 they should win plus a couple of the division home games. I am going bold on predictions too and see them ending 11 - 5 or 10 - 6 for the year. The Giants have been playing great mistake free football so far but they have a much tougher schedule for the 2nd half of the season. If they continue, they can win the division but I think the Skins will beat the Giants at home and have a decent shot at winning the division. Here are my predictions:

    @ Lions W
    Steelers L
    Cowboys L
    @ Seahawks W
    Giants W
    Ravens W
    Bengals W
    Eagles L
    @ 49ers W

And the Bills join the Redskins. Sunday there was an earthquake in the DC area ... that happened when all the Redskins fans fell off the bandwagon.

Last night the Bills fans had flashbacks ... right wide.

    Sigh.

17 years. Another team. Same crap.

Yea - I'm from Buffalo and a Bills fan.....it's the same old story, year after year after year....rebuilding the team......yea right...it's pretty depressing. At least the Skins have actually won Super Bowls......unfortunately, can't say that for the Bills. It's tough being a Bills fan, that's for sure!!

Man people are writing the Redskins off too early! We're still 2nd place in the NFC East. Ok, we had 2 close bad games in a row. We have Seattle coming up next week, who is 2-8. We should win that one and be 7-4. We then have New York at home (hard to win that one, I'll admit that) and Baltimore on the road (one we can win). Then we're away vs the Bungles (thats a win) home vs the Eagles (already beat em once) then away vs the current 3-7 49ers (a win).

The bandwagon is still rollin along! Don't jump off yet!

but you are basically locked into fighting for a wild card now.. and that is a race you don't have a huge lead in.

The Redskins will come to play the Giants on 11/30! They will not go down easy. I'll be there first hand to witness the Redskins rise to the occasion. This will be the game that defines them this season, just as it was the Giants who turned it around against the Redskins last season and we all know how that ended, especially the New England Patriots!

I am predicting now that the Redskins will make the playoffs and get as far as the NFC Championship. They will be a Super Bowl team again in 1-2 years with Jason Campbell and company.

Big game this week vs NYG! This was the one game I chose during the preseason I had to get tickets for and I did. I cannot wait until Sunday! I think the Redskins have a real legitimate chance to win this game. They do often play down to their opponent, but they also step it up when they play the higher caliber teams. This should be one heck of a game!

I agree. This will be the toughest game of the season but I am confident they can win if Portis plays and they bring their A game. We held the Giants to 16 in the first game. The Giant's are dinged up and beatable. The offense has to score at least 21 points to win this week. They are going to have to play great for the rest of the season to have a chance of getting a wild card slot.

I am not so sure. The G-men are clicking on offense. Look at the numbers they have put up in the past month and on some of the best defenses in the league too.

Skins are pretty beat up right now too and in some key positions. I am afraid they will have to play a near perfect game to win.

Both the Redskins and the Cowboys have 2-2 records in the division and both have to play Phi and NY. Assuming that both teams end up 3-3 in the division, tiebreaker goes to conference record. The Skins have a one game lead here. They both have one out of division conference game left. The Skins play SF and Dallas plays Seattle. The Redskins also have a better conference record than Carolina.

I agree. The Giants also need to be less than perfect. On any given Sunday... we Skins fans can dream right!
