The Wine Kitchen is a venture of the husband (Jason) of my old trainer at Trinity fitness. he's been working to get this place open for 2-3 years! Their first child is due in January 16th.

It's so cool that it has opened in the heart of Leesburg. I know we'll check it out, for sure!

Here are 2 links Staci sent me, "
My husband's wine bar has finally opened!!!! (Now how long did that take???)
He got our wedding photographer out to the bar to take pictures for the bar's website, take a look so far....

(Jason is the bearded man in the apron)"
The food is local, fresh, organic and simple. (and I hear the wine is great too) Open just under two weeks- unannounced and low key, but he already got his first few reviews.

He has also already been in the Loudoun Times-Mirror and Northern Virginia Magazine.

I'd love to chime in! We are actually their wedding photographers and friends that did some photos yesterday at the restaurant. You'd expect nothing less from me to rave about the place, but I will...and with good reason!! Seriously - it is unlike anything in the area. Especially if you love good wine and good food...and of course a BEAUTIFUL, ambient atmosphere - you must go! Jason is incredibly knowledgeable and has impeccable taste. The chef is amazing and the food is out of this world. They serve only small plates...or tapas-style dishes. It's the perfect place for a date or a drink out with your friends. It's a much-needed addition to the area and we're so proud of Staci and Jason. Try it out - you won't want to leave.

An abandoned crack house is your kind of place as long as there is bottle of wine involved!

Well, the crack house is bad for sure, but if it is an outstanding bottle then I guess it wouldn't matter where you enjoyed it.

Now, it is a white zinfandel :sickhold:, that would be worse than the house!

oh people- you cannot WAIT to go here! amazing tapas styled dishes, wonderful diverse wines from Lebanon to Napa and everywhere in between, delightful warm atmosphere without an ounce of pretention or stuffiness, and spectacular service! The Wine Kitchen DEFINITELY Passes with Flying Colors- get a sitter and take a couple of hours to visit!!!

they also sell their wines retail.

straight down route 7 in leesburg, veer right when it splits atMom's Pie Shop, turn right onto King Street- it's on your left- if you get to Lightfoot Restaurant, you've gone too far! boy, I give directions like a girl from Nebraska.. wonder why... :conf2:

I don't know the hours... it's so wonderful, we can't wait to go back!

I really hate to chime in here but this place is way over rated. The bearded guy/owner Jason is a total pompous ***. We are not weekly customers but do live very close. It's always hard to get a table on weekend evenings so why bother. Since we have only been a few times and had the same experiences need I say more? Idea is trendy, ownership is a tad pompous and cavelier and a place that I will no longer support nor frequent. Happy sipping...just not at The Wine Kitchen!

perhaps you can provide specifics rather than generalizations?

gee, i guess some folks don't think it's overrated...
Jason has never been anything but a gracious host on our several visits there.

I'm sorry to hear that. I personally know his wife, as she was my personal trainer when I was at Trinity Fitness. He always sounded like a good guy. Perhaps it's the stress of running the place? it took him 3 years to get it up and going.

You've got to question the motive of someone who joins the forums solely to provide (in their first and only post) a damning criticism of an establishment.

    Disgruntled former employee perhaps?
