Can't wait to hear why it took over three years to build that structure!

mij3000, as you've probably read, we're looking forward to your opening. Longing might be a better word.

Will baking be done on site?

Some baking will be done on site..........muffins, Bagels, Crossiants, Cookies,etc.......We have a kitchen in Sterling that currently does the donuts........We will not have fryerlators{sp} at the Broadland location and so our donuts will either be made at our kitchen facility in Sterling or a new process that Dunkin Donuts has come out with "FRESH Baked".........that uses ovens instead of fryerlators may be tried...........or a combination of both. T0 address another question of why soooooooooo long to get this project completed. We are only a tenant and do not own the building...........we negotiated a lease almost 3 years ago and were told by the landlord that the building would be up and ready for us to retrofit in 9 months. We have had no control on the length of time it took to put this building up and I do not want to bore anyone with the frustrations we have endured over the last 3 years. Some day after we are open I can share some of those experiences with some of you over a cup of coffee.......Jim

Welcome...I have to ask, when you say Tea and Latte...does that mean i can come and get a Chai Tea Latte there? That's all I ever get at Starbucks as I am not a coffee drinker.

The Grand Opening Day is usually 2 or 3 weeks after the initial opening date. We call it a "soft opening"........the 1st few weeks gives us a chance to work the bugs out and correct things that may not be running up to our standards. We do offer a Vanilla Tea Chai which is not technically a Tea Latte......buy we could add steamed milk to it for you if you prefer........it's very creamy though and you may like it.........

Jim, I'll be happy to take any donuts and Munchkins off your hands while you 'work out the bugs'. Drop them off at the Nature Center with a label that says "For Eric *only*"

Of course, you'll get a certain 'percentage' for your cooperation Maureen ;)

Mr. Linux, something tells me Maureen was thinking her 'percentage' was somewhere along the lines of, oh, 100%. [IMG]

And who says that I won't just drop in and take what I want! :naanaa:

I drive by the NC every day and I am sure Maureen and I would have no problem "taking care" of ahem, your donuts. :mmm:

Good! My master plan is working! While everyone rushes to the NC to grab donuts, I'll sneak over to the DD and grab the leftovers from Jim directly! My evil plan is foolproof!!!!

Jim, thank you! I so look forward to my favorite coffee and a drive-thru! WOW, I'm sure a lot of moms with kids like me will appreciate it. I often want to stop somewhere to buy a cup of coffee but don't because that would involve unloading everyone from the car and sometimes that is just not worth the effort.... :)

DD does have the best tasting coffee, Starbucks gives me heartburn and doesn't taste as smooth. So freaking excited.
