Need Advice Cakes

    Costco will also do a plain, base-frosted cake for you. When I took cake decorating classes, the instructor showed me her portfolio which had about a dozen Costco cakes that she decorated herself. It's an incredible time saver if you want to do your own decorating but not the baking part of it.

    I will remember that! The cost for such a large cake is amazingly recession friendly! We need all the help we can get since we are entering birthday season at our house, whew! :party:

    Harris Teeter will do this and I'm sure the other grocery stores as well. I did this a couple of times using cakes from Harris Teeter. You can ask them to ice it in specific colors for the base and/or the piping around the edges, then add your own embellishments.
