I too missed out on dounuts today. With the feedback before that the last bake is usually around 7pm I didn't expect that. But we went by about 6:30 and yes, there were 10 employees with nothing to do. But by the time we left, the BR counter was plenty busy. But they never put more then 3 people to work on that side, while the others stood behind the DD counter and chatted with friends. I understand you can't have too many bodies behind the counter before it gets counter productive.. but I was surprised they didn't even attempt to ring people up at the DD registers. Maybe that's not allowed.. ?

I went over hoping for an ice cream float... but was surprised they aren't on the menu??

Kids got ice cream... I left empty handed due to no floats or donuts.

Managing capacity is a tough thing... especially in abnormal periods around opening. But I wanna float! :)

    Where's the coconut donuts???

I have been in four different times, different times of day and different days of the week. Someone is buying them all!!! What in the world?

I even wanted one for my birthday Saturday and my hubby went in to DD to get one to no avail. So he bought a french cruieller and a bag of coconut and poured some on. Close, thoughtful, but not it.

We've been very happy with this addition to our neighborhood. Is it perfect? No. But it's SO great to have a place we can walk to that offers a cold treat on a hot day, coffee and food in the morning, that's an inexpensive splurge, and fun for kids. We're happy to see teens we know, employed. We're happy to see preteens biking over together for a snack. I hope all this feedback is helpful to the owner so this place stays in business a long, long time!

it's a well known chain with a loyal following- unless customer service goes into the toilet and the place becomes a filthy cesspool of health code violations or hoodlums cover it in gang tags and chase away paying customer- DD and BR and here to stay! ;)

kudo to you Jimmy for having a thick skin and being resilient thru this opening and addressing every tiny criticism that this board is famous for!!! (don't get mad people- you know I'm right. :devil2:)

remember that for every individual complaint in HERE, there are PLENTY of silent satisfied customers. given the volume you've churned thru, it's a GREAT track record!

you are making lots of fans- i don't eat donuts (they are my gateway drug!) OR enjoy BR ice cream but you will get some of my coffee biz just because you CARE. thank you Jimmy!

One thing I might suggest for the store - more highchairs! This is a neighborhood teeming with babies and having only one in the store might lead to some fighting. Kidding, but it would be nice not to have to maneuver a stroller in the store and use it as a highchair as well.

    We're so glad you're here!!!

SHHHHhh... the drive thru is a secret method of getting REALLY FAST service when the line is out the door. We used it again Sunday morning - hubby said the line was at least 15+ out the door.

Yea, except when someone in the drive-through orders a bunch of breakfast sandwiches and backs up the other cars, as well as the folks inside waiting on their food...

I would suggest that folks only use the drive-through for normal orders and not if you're there to grab stuff for the whole family, at least until things settle down.

We are restricted since it is a franchisee to only advertise and sell approved products of the Franchisor.......that is why you will not find "floats" on the menu board.........I also like floats and occasionally make one when I visit our other BR store........we can only sell Pepsi products although I prefer Coke.....but that is just how it is.......However I am sure that if you ask for a scoup of ice cream in a cup of Pepsi or Mist or whatever beverage we carry you will be accomodated and it will be the same price we charge for a frappe{sp}......just tell them Jimmy said O.K......I already alearted the manager.........chow

And isn't it one of those drive through lanes where you can get stuck if someone comes up behind you? You can't bail before ordering if it's taking too long.

But Floats are a product of Baskin Robins (at least according to the corporate site). http://www.baskinrobbins.com/Beverages/fficecreamsodas.aspx

That's why I was surprised they weren't in your location. Or are franchisees limited to a smaller menu?

I appreciate the offer on the 'secret order' but I hate doing that. It always leads to confusion and disruption that just isn't worth it in the end.

Only the free standing Baskin Robbins offers the floats and other items that comprise the full menu. Dunkin Donuts/ Baskin Robbins combo-stores have a more limited menu. Sorry........but the offer still stands we would be happy to try and accomodate you.........Jimmy
