My wife is from Hawaii and usually gets this rice from a local commissary. Since moving to Virginia, she hasnt been able to find it. Can anyone help? Do you know where we can find this rice locally?

You cant buy it from the Walmart link & can anyone confirm that it's at Sam's club? we don't have a membership but will go if they have it.

I emailed the company and they said this:
We are currently working on national distribution and do not have our rice on the East Coast. Perhaps you could contact your local grocer and express interest in Hinode Rice.

You could order it on-line as well, but the shipping costs may be prohibitive.

Although it looks like they have an online cart, you cannot add anything to it - there is no "buy now" option unfortunately.

Try Grand Mart (I think that is the name). It is in Sterling, on Rt 7 across from the Clocktower shopping center. They have a lot of different rices - maybe they will have yours.

I saw Calrose Rice at Sam's Club yesterday. It said it was for sushi. Not sure if it was Hinode or not - big bag of it though!

    Hi.

I have seen Calrose at one of the Korean markets...try Grand Mart, Lotte in Chantilly (Rt.50/Rt.28), or SuperH. I'm not sure if that is the right "brand", but it was the Calrose variety of rice. Doubtful, but you could also take a look at Wegmans...we found a sweet, sticky rice in the Asian section there for a Filipino dessert.

    Good Luck.
