I really wish Pizza places would get on the whole wheat crust bandwagon...not too many offer it. We don't eat pizza that much, so when we do get it, I like the whole wheat crust with lots of veges

I love Manhattan's whole wheat crust, I think it's their low carb pizza.

well when you've made your OWN pizza, it's hard to compare a restaurant's. choosing your own ingredients, heavy or as light as you want... it's gets no better than home made...

Here are our thoughts. We would like to address your comments by asking first off, if in fact you were mischarged, which can always be attributed to human error, did you speak to anyone at Sal's about your concern? Not sure what your ordered extra, BUT extra sauce is not an additional $3.00 charge...was that also an error???? Not sure why your stating that we "no longer give fire dept. discounts." That is completely UNTRUE. We would appreciate if you would have FACTS not hear say. Are you a firefigher that has been charged full price????? That would truely be an error....as we acknowledge and honor our heros and encourage ALL businesses in this county to support our heros as we do. We do know for sure that there are many places in this county that DO NOT give ALL firefighters and Law enforcement discounts....how sad! If we have IN ERROR charged them, for sure we owe them a complimentary dinner!!!!!! Ron Chipman, my father was a NYC flrefighter....why wouldn't we acknowledge our heros???? Uniformed firefighters and Law enforcement get a 50% discount. What are you talking about????? It is far from "price gauging!" Prices do change...thats business. We make every effort to be competive and manage quality control at the same time. SO as an FYI...you might want to compare apples to apples. We have quality ingredients with a quality product. We have "REAL NY Pizza" by "REAL NY'ers" and are proud of what we have to offer. We look forward to your monthly (or so) visit and would expect that when you are at Sal's you will make it a point to introduce yourself to our family! You may be one of the many who very often receive complimentary desserts or maybe an free appetizer....thats just one of the ordinary days....no special coupon needed! These are our discounts in advertising.
    CLIPPER MAGAZINE- printed monthly
VIP CLUB - via email ( encourge you to sign up at our register)
FIREFIGHTERS & LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS (IN UNIFORM) 50% OFF
(OUT OF UNIFORM...THEY STILL RECEIVE A DISCOUNT OF 20%)
    LOUDOUN COUNTY TEACHERS - 10 % OFF
    CONSUMER EYE MAGAZINE-

These are just some of the discounts we offer! Check it out...
See ya soon at our "home away from home!"

    In response to your suggestions:

We use "fresh high quality ingredients available...regardless of the cost to us! Cost to us may change weekly, but our customers continue to pay the same price for the most part. There are times we do change prices accordingly. That''s business.

As far as taking down the wall in the front, it was designed that way to prevent the draft from the door opening in the winter or the heat in the summer..effecting our customers that sit in the area near the door. It will not be removed....just for the comfort of our customers!

There is always room for improvement but we have no intentions of improving our "base ingredients" as far as food is concerned. We use the best products and ingredients available. If your referring to the decor, well then we have been gradually trying to freshen up a bit with some new colors. It just takes time. We believe we will get there!

We do dominate over the other restaurants as per many of our very satisfied, loyal customer. That is an always will be our goal....CUSTOMER SATISFACTION!

The overhead sign is on the back burner for a while. Haven't decided what we will do with the area, Some remodeling perhaps...???

We do dominate over the other " basic Italian Restaurants "as per many of our very satisfied, loyal customers. That is and will always be our goal....CUSTOMER SATISFACTION!

We really do appreciate your taking the time to verbalize your thoughts and good wishes.

Hope to see you soon at our "home away from home!"

You are spending close to the same money in the long run...and your not receiving a "product" per say...your receiving someone's time.....a lot less costly to give a discount as that person is there by the hour no matter what when it comes to nails.

As for our restaurant, we offer a premium quality product ..."real NY pizza" , made by "real New Yorkers"...."No comparison to most every Pizza Joint around here!" That's a quote...as per our very satisfied customers! We are not a chain discount restaurant. We are not trying to make millions of dollars....we reap the benefits of our efforts with complements from our satisfied loyal customers.

We appreciate the time you have taken to voice your concern. Thanks for your input.

Hope to see you again sometime at Sal's !

We are not participating in Restaurant.com anymore for a number of reasons. First of all....It is a very poor business decision to accept the following situation...
Buy a $ 25.00 coupon and pay only $2.00 for it??????
    Spend $ 25.00 and get $10.00 off.
Our distributors have NEVER given us an 80% discount on OUR order.

The most disappointing situation of all....
    Dishonesty!...

Many coupons from Restaurant.com were being printed off the computer and copied by the same people and being used very frequently. It was a very costly affair and one of dishonesty.

    Talk about a disappointment???????

So glad you were satisfied. So sorry we are not accepting the Restaurant.com coupons anymore as per the previous thread posted. Watch for our specials in the Clipper and Consumer Eye. You can stop in and ask about joining our VIP club which you will receive information (usually monthly) via email about our specials.

Look forward to meeting you at "our home away from home!"

Please clarify for us...Were you charged $3.00 for extra sauce?

You are always welcome at "our home away from home!" You may want to try some other items OR join our VIP club.

Does Manhattan Pizza sell pizza by the slice?
