    Hi everyone,
My name is John, I own Blue Moon Construction, a locally owned and operated company based out of Ashburn, VA.

We currently have multiple projects going on in Brambleton and Broadlands and wanted to put our name out there if anyone is looking for a finished basement, kitchen or bath remodel, patio, decks, you name it. For our quality of work, our pricing is very fair.

We have plenty of local references. Look forward to talking to you.

You can visit our site below, or just give us a call.

How long have you been in business? What class license do you hold? Do you employ workers or do you hire contractors? What was your company's name, previously? Thank you.

I have been in business for 7 years as a remodeling company. Before that I built custom homes for a large national builder. My company was previously named Ronay Customs, and we just renamed it Blue Moon Construction because my wife and I added a black Labrador puppy to the family named Blue Moon (we call him Blue):). To be honest I was looking to change the name to something a little more catchy and it was just good timing.

All of our license and banking information did not change with the name change. We carry a full VA Class A license with a specialty in BLD which allows up to perform many structural home improvements other companies are legally not allowed to do.

We are also fully licensed and any sub-contractors we use have provided us with their full license disclosure as well. Depending on the project type I will use my employees or hire subs. Any subs i use, have been with my company for over 5 years. I would hire each and everyone of my subs if it was cost beneficial, but it is not at this time. I have no new crews at this time and if i bring on new subs, customers are notified.

As you ask around, you will find we are one of the most professional and easy to work with contractors around. I love this job and take great pride in providing our customers with the highest quality product. We have over 20 references from Brambleton alone last year for projects large and small.

I am happy to send anyone a reference list with over 20 names you can contact for any type of project. And I have many more is you need them.

    Have a great weekend.

I thought it would too when I viewed it! Looked for history, primarily.

We will be glad to supply a healthy reference list to anyone interested in local jobs that have been completed. (just shoot me an email)

I would say they included good and bad but to this day I have never received a negative survey or complaint from any of our customers.
Our 3-month and 1-year warranty lists avg. 1 item (usually a loose knob or something of that nature).

I guess that comes from my previous job experience in customer service and surrounding myself with good people. As corny as it sounds, a company is only as good as its weakest person and in construction this is 100% true. It only takes one bad client to ruin 100 good ones. That is why I try my best to satisfy all of my clients needs, big or small.

    Have a great weekend.;)

We used Blue Moon for our basement in 2011 and were extremely disatisfied with both their work quality and their customer service.

Our project took more than twice the time they promised and all we got were a bunch of flimsy excuses and more than a couple of lies.

The company appears to have taken on more than they can handle, so they hire inexperienced supervisors and subcontract EVERYTHING to day laborers and others.

There are better options out there, including some mentioned on this forum such a Premier and Keller and Sons.
