The turn out of Trick or Treaters this year was minimal, probably due to all the dark houses. Where's the Halloween spirit?

we had quite a few kids, at least 50 or 60, and it was nice to see all the wonderful costumes. Great imagination on the kids part.

    Ooooh. Ooooh. I've got one.

The same few parents who, 3 months into the school year, seem to not be aware of WHAT TIME THE BUS ARRIVES IN THE MORNING. All kids are on the bus. The bus is ready to leave. And then suddenly ZOOM--up pull the ALWAYS LATE ONES, and all of us---a bus load of kids and their 25-30 parents have to wait while they scurry on board.

Yes--its only on minute or two extra. BUT ITS EVERY DAY. It's 7:33 am. Get an alarm clock, please.

i think the cars that were left parked on the street prior to that snowstorm should be fined. the money that we pay and are going to have to pay for snowplows was not even maximized b/c of cars parked on the street. we can't get the plows to come back- but they would have done it while they were here if there weren't a smattering of street parked cars! i am thinking specifically about ridgeway...just annoyed that we didn't get full value b/c of the street parkers. that's what i'll call them.
i can understand in a light snow...but we knew that storm was coming and this snow is not going to melt quickly. the street parkers. ugh. the street parkers.

well, on ridgeway, one can fit more than 2 cars in a driveway if one really wants to. or one could leave one's car on the street and that side doesn't get plowed because of that one.
or even to ask a neighbor if they can park in their driveway so as to not impede the plows in this record-breaking snowfall would have been a good idea. then the neighbor would even get help shoveling their driveway.

oh I was thinking about our situation in the townhomes.... no other places to park sometimes.. but yeah, if your driveway can fit the cars it makes sense all around!

    Lady,
If you're walking in the road (wrong side of a curvy road no less), pushing your baby in a stroller - maybe you should GET OFF YOUR CELL PHONE.

People that park in handicap spots that aren't. People that sit in handicap seats at movies that are not. Parents that let their kids sit in handicap seats at movies. People that pull up to the curb and park in front of the store in the fire lane blocking traffic and causing a hazard for other people while open parking spaces are 20 feet away.

Generally anyone that falls into the category I call "self absorbed waste of spaces".

As for the handicap seats, they are only handicap seats IF there are handicapped people to use them.

    Agree with everything else. :D

also, I'd be willing to bet that the majority of people don't have a back problem .. I see entirely way too many of them every morning at work =)

I know what you mean, and to be honest, it's not the laptop that is the problem... it's all the extra crap I have to carry around with it that makes it an issue.

If you're walking on a road that has no sidewalk, you're supposed to walk toward traffic (on the left), in order to make cars more visible to you. Not sure which side of the road your pedestrian was on, but if they were on your side of the road as you were driving, facing towards you, then they were on the correct side.
