I saw the most beautiful fox in my back yard last night. Just happened to look out, turned on the porch light and there he was. Very well fed and his coat was amazing! Tried to get a picture, but he was too fast.

can you email these to me? If you agree, I'd like to print them out and display them at the Nature Center on our "wildlife at Broadlands" bulletin board. mburns@broadlandshoa.com

They're great photos. How did you manage to take the pictures? Fox are usually so skittish and have a keen sense of hearing.

Thanks for the photo high fives. I took the pics from my sun room picture window with a 200MM lens on a Nikon D60. This fox hangs out in my back yard area quite a bit - we back up to the woods behind Stone Hollow. He often hops around - jumping up off the ground on all four legs, apparently just for the fun of it. We have named him "Lorenzo", for no particular reason, except he is dignified and sophisticated - and so is the name.

Maureen - I will email you the five or six pictures I took, including some of the "hops" - you can pick what you want to post.

Can you post a hop? I'd be interested to see that - sounds like it would be comical! :)

How fun! I love the amount of wildlife we get around here. Makes you appreciate life, watching them just go about their day!

Redon, I know you are kidding, but coyotes are more scared of you than you are of them!

It just hadn't been to the salon yet. It is, after all, an Ashburn fox!
