Our roofer is Summit Roofing out of Manassas. I have used them for eight years and our customers love them. Give them a call at 703-368-7483. ask for Benny and mention Blue Moon Construction and J.K. He will certainly take care of you.
If you need handyman work done, we can probably help you out. What do you have that needs to be done. You can shoot me a personal email if you like. I can come over and get you an estimate. Look forward to chatting.

we have some shingles (maybe 4 or 5) that came off earlier in the week b/c of the wind. The shingles are about 19 years old some I'm guessing they are reaching end of life. Might be able to get another year or two out of it, but not sure.

Does anyone have any idea how much someone charges to replace a few shingles? Or are we better of just replacing the entire roof.

I'm also looking for any recommended roofing companies.

In order for a contractor to quote an accurate price for blown-off roof shingles, it's always best to see the problem in person. Even though you only have 4 or 5 missing roof shingles, it's very possible there could be many more that are loose which will blow-off from the next strong wind, if not repaired as well.

Most homes in the Broadlands area have 3 tab roof shingles which ussually last at most 20 years, so it's very possible you may need a new roof.

I believe the first home in Broadlands was built sometime in 1995, so I doubt entire roofs need to be replaced yet.

Thanks for the update about Broadlands, I didn't know. This customer must live outside the Broadlands area.

Well, that was 15 years ago. My how time flies! Our house in Ashburn Village is almost 20 years old so we know we soon will be replacing expensive things like HVAC, windows, and the roof. So looking forward to it. ;)
