Anyone have a child with reflux?

    I am reasonably sure my 9 year old daughter has reflux. Anyone else dealing with this with their child and could you recommend a gastroenterologist? Thanks!

    Hi Amy- Our daughter had horrible reflux as a baby and we brought her to Dr. Sirlin's office. It's located in the NoVa Urgent Care building by the post office. Most of the time we saw the nurses but they were always very helpful and great with our daughter. Good Luck. Reflux is no fun!

    Dr. Ian Liebowitz was wonderful to my daughter when she had reflux. I just saw that he has an office in Lansdowne next to the hospital. He is a pediatric gastroenterologist and I highly recommend him.

    Our son goes to Dr. Sirlin. He is no longer by the Post Office and moved to Lansdowne. Since he seperated from the medical group he was associated with, he is currently not accepting any insurance so you'll have to file seperately.

    We have a 15 yr old with reflux. We were very happy with Dr.Sirlin for the past ten years, but have to find someone new since he no longer accepts any insurance. Good luck in treating your daughter, and remember that sometimes it takes a while to find the right medication.

    Very impressed with Dr. Ian Leibowitz. My daughter had an endoscopy this morning in face. He has an excellent bedside manner with parents and children. Very knowledgeable, even about related issues under Celiac and EoE. Came highly recommended along with Dr Sirlin from our pediatrician. Just those two gastros were recommended.

    Chose Leibowitz because of the insurance issue with Sirlin not accepting any longer. The obvious choice of Leibowitz turned out to be a great choice for our family.


    And love that he comes to Lansdowne once a week so I don't have to drive all over Kingdom Come to a gastro Dr.

    Do you have a number for Leibowitz? I tried the one from our insurance directory and it came up as no longer working.
