    JUST AN FYI

The big red 6 sided sign at this intersection means STOP. Twice I have almost been hit by someone running this intersection this weekend. Please proceed through this intersection cautiously.

This is a constant problem. Since I live in close proximity to this intersection and am out constantly walking my dogs, I see this happen more often than not. I even saw an 18 wheeler run the intersection. Usually it is traffic heading south on Claiborne that are the culprets. Definitely proceed with caution.

There is a stop sign missing at this intersection if you are heading northbound. Easy for someone who is not familiar to run it without realizing it.

In fact there are often stop signs missing around here -- I am really surprised they are left that way for so long. Seems dangerous.

If you see missing signs, call VDOT.

please report that right away! someone will die at that intersection if the sign isn't back up pronto- it's bad enough there WITH the signs... :(

so many missing signs after the storm that i bet they just aren't aware. 2 days after i reported a missing stop sign, one was back up, but i am sure i am not the only one who reported it...

I have reported it, but based on past experience, they don't respond at all. There were stop signs missing for months by the Harris Teeter a year or two ago, and all of my calls and emails were ignored.

Probably because the street is still maintained by Van Metre, not VDOT.

    Yep.

Whether intentionally or not, the stop sign approaching Panera has been removed, and now perpendicular approaches to that intersection have right of way....

    Dangerous.
