If you bought a Groupon they (Groupon, not Forno) will refund your money...

Oh, that's too bad. My husband and I had a feeling that we should use our Groupon quickly but didn't get around to it.

Wow, that's unfortunate. I thought they were doing ok. That lot seems jinxed.

I always had problems with their service, but the food was good. But you need the whole package to survive.

wish I knew for sure- I know it was too empty too often in spite of the food being pretty darn good. but i thought the groupon would boost traffic enough to make a difference. too little too late i guess.

I hate to ask this question, but I'm curious, where were they located? Sorry - we don't eat out that often.....

In the Broadlands Center Plaza (Safeway plaza). As you enter the plaza from Broadlands Blvd, they were directly in front of you.

I didn't want to post this earlier for fear of creating a buzz, but my son worked for them earlier this year and every paycheck he received had bounced. My husband had to go up there with him to have the owner pay him cash for several checks. I knew their days were numbered.

This was my first Groupon bought so I'm not sure what needs to happen to have my money refunded. Anyone know how this works?

    Thanks.

I THINK- Groupon will proactively send you a refund, but you can go to their website and email support about it if you want to be sure...

just let them know the business that you bought a Groupon for went out of biz before you could use it- how do you get the refund- they will be all over it for you.

    :)

Hmm...if his payroll checks were bouncing, I'm not sure a Groupon was the right way to try and CPR the business. For each $10 a customer paid to Groupon, Forno would only get 50%. So a diner could come into their restaurant and run up a $25 tab and Forno would make $5.00 on it. In the long run, if you create enough repeat customers, it might work but I'm not so sure if you're low on operating cash.

I bought the Groupon when the deal was on. We just used it and ate there on Friday night (I think it was Friday). I'm glad I was quick!

I thought it was just me and that after 3 tries of terrible service, I felt slightly pressured to give them another go. I'm sorry, but if you can't take care of the greatest asset in your business - your customer, then I'm not surprised they tanked.

We went there numerous times only to look around and see many discontented faces, a manager who never really directed his eyes at his customers, and pretty much the slowest, most inattentive service we have had in Ashburn.
