I'm curious water other people's water usage was for the 2nd Quarter of this year (March, April, May).

I thought we were fairly careful but I see that we used 24,000 gallons. This keeps us in Tier 1 ($1.77 per gallon) but if you go over 25,000 gallons you pay Tier 2 ($4.96!) up to 50,000.

Considering we weren't watering any outside plants or the lawn, it's pretty safe to say we're going to hit Tier 2 pricing this summer. Ouch.

I just got my bill, it went up almost 100%. My bill last year at this time was $240 this year $450 for roughly the same consumption (roughly 58,000 consumption).

I knew the rates were going up but I was surprised by how much the Tier 2 and Tier 3 increases were.

I do have an irrigation system and 8 people in my family.

Do you have perrienial wet spots in your yard? This usage sounds nuts... wonder if you have a leak.

Or, perhaps, teenagers who take 1 hour long showers everyday, if not twice a day!

SFH, 2 Adults & a toddler, irrigation system and our recent bill was $150. (Maybe we don't take enough showers/baths or laundry)

Huh. 37,000 gallons for a total of $103.77 not including fees. That means we paid about $1.81/gallon. Last summer's bill (that arrived in September) was 51,000 gallons. We have single family home and an irrigation system but that still seems high. I'll have to get Mr. Villager to take shorter showers. I better keep an eye on our usage.

We must be really filthy, then. Our bill was $142 and there are five of us. (and an irrigation system) I let the five year old run around in the sprinklers when they're on and count that as a shower...

Does your picture show two 9/09 readings at 51,000 each? That would be more in line with my 9/09 reading of 130,000.

Does your $103 include sewer? I'm wondering why your bill was less than mine but you used more water.

There were some other charges listed but they were coded so I didn't know what they meant. I think the total was about $200. I don't know why there were two readings in September.

If you were paying $1.77 per gallon your water bill would be $42,480. It's $1.77 per thousand gallons.

SFH and a family of four. We used 23,000 gallons and our bill was $159.

Don't have the bill or account # in front of me, so I can't look up my usage. We have 2 people in a townhome, bill went up for the usual $87 to $107 this quarter.

I just compared my bill from the same time last year and we are actually 1k gallons less this year, however my bill is almost $30 more than last years.
