    Hi, Fellow Foodies--

Since I have been remiss in keeping in touch, thought I would post info on Loudoun County's latest acquisition to the "restaurant scene". Apparently, Lerner Corporation has announced in March 2010 that PF Chang Restaurant Group has signed a lease to open a new restaurant for Fall 2010.

According to the article (see link below for details), Fall 2010 you will have another place to dine. Enjoy!

    http://www.shopdullestowncenter.com/2006/images/section_titles/dtc_PFChangs_2010.html (PF Chang/Lerner Corp. article, etc.)

On a sidenote, this will come in handy as we are expecting twins again later this Fall 2010. We love PF Chang's food. As you can tell, a late night for me! Little "boogers" are active and I am wide awake instead of asleep!:indiff2::shakehead:

I maybe able to give away some more produce next month when we return from vacation. I will post info on separate thread later.:)

    Have fun--

This is great news! Love their food, but only eat there when out of town since I hate driving to their "local" locations.

So, Is "Pei Wei" near Wegmans going to be the next victim in our area?

Pei Wei is owned by PF Changs, so I doubt it. There is a PF Changs at Fairfax Corner and a PeiWei in the Fair Lakes area, and both are doing well.

I knew its owned by PF Changs. I thought people would prefer going to PF Chang than Pei Wei. Eventually, it will be closed by PF Chang.

I think they cater to different clientel. Pei Wei is great for carry out or for grabbing something to eat in a very informal, relaxed setting. PF Changs is more 'up scale' (if you can call it that). I have seen quite a few close to each other while traveling on business, they all seem to do well. I think they'll be fine.

Agree, during lunch hour PF Changs can take a while to get your food. Pei Wei is more "fast food" timeframe.

PF Changs was originally supposed to come to Moorefield Station. It was in the original site plan, but I haven't seen a new one in a couple of years. Anyone know the status on that shopping center?

The point I was making is if they put one at Dulles, obviously they won't put another one a few miles away at Moorefield. Has anyone seen or heard anything? Development was always supposed to happen before metro.

Don't underestimate them, they could be adopting the Harris Teeter saturation approach.

Reviving this thread. We had lunch at PF Chang's in Dulles today. Very good food and very good service. They are nothing if not consistent. We've been to the Fairfax Gov Center and Tysons' Galleria locations in the past. We went in at 11:20 and there were only 3 or 4 occupied tables. Within 1/2 hour the place was almost full and there were people waiting to be seated. We now have leftovers to take to work on Mon. Yum.

Well I can tell you I won't be stepping foot into Cheesecake Factory or PF Changs in Dulles town center, not at least for a while. Went to both (on seprate weekend Saturdays) for lunch and in both instances, my ticket was forgotten or my food was "lost". Now, I went there, after lunch ( each time about 1:30 or so) and they were just finishing up lunch rush, and my orders were fairly simple, drinks, app, entree, no special request or anything. Sure, the manager wanted to comp something and made some lame attempt to apologize, but in the end, each basically said, well it's our fault, that's just what happens at all restaurants. I'm sticking to local owned, or operated places, big box or chains will be off my diet from now on as much as I can.

We've been to Cheesecake Factory at least 20 times since it opened there and have never had a problem with our order. The times I've eaten at other PF Chang's there were no issues either. BTW, what is a "lame attempt to apologize" exactly? Either he apologized or he didn't. I don't think I've ever had lost or forgotten food or tickets.

I went to PF Changs about a week after it opened. I sat at the bar by myself at 2:00pm (drank only water!) and the bartenders were very attentive and friendly. It took a LONG time to get my lettuce wraps, the bar tenders were on top of it, knew it was slow, apologized, and I understood perfectly that they'd only been open a week and the kitchen could be slow. I just sat and enjoyed my quiet time, and when my lettuce wraps came, they were as good as always. This was a weekend day and the restaurant was VERY full.

Ditto for us. Went to Cheesecake Factory last night after some Christmas shopping and visiting Santa. Food and service was excellent as usual. We wanted to try PF Chang's, but were out voted by the kids. We visit the one in Tyson's frequently and have always had the same great service and food.

The Man and The Boy went there yesterday- said the waitress was so awful the manager came over, comped part of their meal and gave them a $25 GC. they said the apps- (lettuce wraps, potstickers) once they finally got them- were delicious, the soup was wonderful, but the entrees (mu shu pork i think- that's all i can remember) were meh. the waitress actually interrupted them JUST as they started easting to plop the dessert tray on the table! can you say "training needed???"

they will definitely go back- they love Asian food, thought the apps were the best in town, and the waitress was the worst part of their experience- but she likely won't be there long, lol.

I will stick with Cafe Opera- I want Asian food so infrequently I'll just get my singaporean vermicelli from them and let them have boy's night out at Changs
