LOL - they help infants learn how to walk. You wrap it around their mid section and the parent(s) hold onto the handles. Since we are short on the shortside of tall, "bending" over wasn't a issue for us when our little guy was first learning to walk.

wowww.... how everyone over 2 years old in the world isn't slithering on the ground dragging useless legs behind them is beyond me...

    :screwy:

guess it's the thought that counts! anyway- with people over 50 with infants these days, maybe it ain't so crazy after all!

Apparently, kids were having their arms dislocated from parents holding them by the hands to walk. I'm pretty sure the instances were so low, but the fear makes for a great marketing tool. :screwy:

Good grief I am catching a lot of flack/opinions for this item, talk about busting my chops for trying to give something away. I think I will just throw them out at this point, consider we never used the gift. Just hate throwing out a new item, but oh well...LOL

 Oops, feeling bad was not my intention. Don't take the comments personally. I'm sure there is someone that does want them and will put them to good use. It's just amazing the kinds of things that are marketed to new parents. As if the whole task of raising kids wasn't daunting enough when you bring that new baby home.

No, no. I think people are just surprised that such a thing exists. I know I am. I'm sure someone will want it for the right price. :)

If it saves mom and dad from breaking their back leaning over to support their child trying to walk, seems like a potentially neat idea to me. Pea, my little one's not ready for that yet, but if no one else wants it I'll take it and try it out when she's ready.

It all depends on whether the child is receptive to it, I guess. Most parents seem to love their Baby Bjorn, but our little girl hates it. Go figure.
