My mac has settings for this.

We've been trying to figure this out for a while and have not gotten anywhere. Is there an easy way to do this in Windows 7?

    Thanks, Mike

If I understand what you're saying, you want your computer to turn back on and restart after a power loss. If that's the case, the setting you're looking for is in your 'BIOS'. When you turn on your computer, it should ask/tell you to press a certain key, such as F2, INS, etc, to enter the BIOS before actually booting your OS. Press that key and look in the BIOS settings. Many times, you'll see a setting that says "Power On - Return to last known state" or something like that. What that means is if the computer was 'on' when it lost power, it will turn back on (and thus boot into Windows). If the computer was 'off', it will stay off after power is restored. These settings can also be overridden to always power back on, etc.
