We use the Goodyear in Chantilly on Metrotech Dr. It's near where we work. We've been taking our cars there for at least 10 years and have never had any issues. They have never told us something needed to be done that didn't. In fact, they've only told us a couple of times about things that needed to be fixed/replaced. My husband's car tires which were getting to the point where they wouldn't pass inspection, my battery that was getting low and they just told my husband that he should consider replacing his battery in the next few months. No pressure ever from them and we go to lots of oil changes and tire rotations without any other work being suggested.

I've got to echo the same sentiment. My last vehicle was over 10 years old, and I never had them recommend services other than headlight replacements when they fell below the state minimum "brightness."

I am writing on behalf of Virginia Tire & Auto of Ashburn (located in Ashburn Farm). While we were happy to read the positive posts about our store, we were very disappointed and shocked to see that some of our neighbors were so unhappy with their experience at our Ashburn Farm location. I can tell you that we are 100% committed to giving our customers the best automotive service around and while we are not perfect we sincerely try to be. We would like to hear from you directly and try to make things right. I can be reached at 703-724-9000 or lnagi@vatire.com.

Well, I guess everyone deserves a second chance. In my case Larry you did hear from me directly. I wasn't pleased with your response and attempt to make me out as a liar when I questioned the service I paid for but didn't receive. You did eventually fix the issue but you gave me the feeling you were doing me a favor.

Since then I have gone to Fallon as recommended by vacliff and others. I was very pleased. I've taken two cars there now. On the second visit they fixed a faulty blinker. When I left the shop it was working fine but it failed the next day. Took it back, they spent another hour with the truck and had to replace a faulty switch. When I picked it up they didn't charge me anything including the cost of the switch. They said it as their fault and should have caught it the first time. I'll be back.

My 15 year old Odyssey is due for an emissions inspection and I think it might fail (the check engine light is on). The problem might be the cat converter (I had it diagnosed before). I got a repair estimate then and it was over $1k. Are the repair costs at Fallon reasonable? Since this is an old thread, I'd like to know if the recommendations (for Fallon) still valid.

Fallon's is good. You might want to get a couple of quotes for peace of mind.

Fallon has come in under others every time I have had to have something major done. It might take a little longer for them to do it, but they are good and meet their commitments. Fallon would be my first choice for either foreign or domestic car work.

Fallon is honest and reasonably priced. So refreshing in this day and age.
