Need Advice Any carpools to McLean (Capitol One Corp)

Starting a new job on Monday at Capitol One Corp are there any carpools ?
Also I have to be their at 8:30 to 8:45 what time should I leave? Driving more than 8 miles to work is all new for me.

Check out the Tysons Express bus service.

 

Can't help you out with the carpool. I have commuted to McLean for years to NG across the way and would say you need to allow an hour. Some days the toll road is a breeze, other days you'll be lucky to be doing 30 mph. And with the construction it is best to go to the 123 exit vs. taking the 495 exit. Good Luck on the new job!

If you can be without a car at work, as capo suggested, check out the bus service to see if it goes by your building. The bus is excellent, I love it. Seats recline back and free wifi (although lately the wifi has been pretty slow). Its always right on time and $3 each way is a huge savings too.

 

I did and it goes once a day too early in morning and and only once at night,too late at night ( my luck) but I'll keep checking Thanks for the info

 

When do you need to leave? The bus departs from the Harris Teeter lot at 6:05, 6:45, 7:15, 7:43, 7:55, 8:20 and 9:00. There are 7 afternoon buses as well, ranging from 3:30-7:00 depending on the stop.

Yea, but I think the same problem I have is that the service doesn't go East of The beltway but a couple times of day, the express drops you off at Tysons, but you have to switch buss a few time to make it over there. I wished I worked in the Tyson's complex. I'm jealous every time i see the express buss pass by.

 

Also, this Tysons express doesn't serve south side of Route-7 in Tysons Corner without switching another bus.

They should have at least 2-3 buses serving south side.
