Can we recycle phone books with the regular recycling pickup on Thursdays?

We've always thrown any phonebooks we get straight into the recycling box with the rest of papers and cardboard. Never had an issue with them picking it up. It's just paper afterall...

Ditto--I've no use for these phonebooks when I have the internet to look up numbers. Why they continue to print these books is beyond me when so many people just immediately throw them in the recycling bin. Oy!

That's so ridiculous for them suing...Guess these guys want the phone books to be distributed because they sold all the ad space to the businesses that paid for it?...Yep, that's prolly it.

I've tried that in the past. Problem is that when they 'deliver' them, they have a van full of books and the just drop the books in every driveway as they drive through the streets. They don't go off a list or anything, at least from what I could tell...

    Has this worked for anyone?

Unless you notice them on the street, it might be hard to know if you didn't get one when you ordinarily would have.

Well, on our street, that's pretty easy. You see them thrown in each driveway when you come back from work.

Thanks. I have a bad habit of dropping them in the corner of the garage. I want to get rid of them now. I just wanted to be sure they didn't treat them differently for some reason.
