I'm looking to take my son out to Beaverdam Creek Reservior to do some fishing.* I believe a row boat or canoe would be the best option since I don't think there is any pier or dock to fish off of.* Plus, being in a boat is really what I want to do.

Does anyone know of place where I can rent a row boat for a day or weekend?

    Thanks in advance.

you can rent a kayak at eastern mountain sports. they will hook you up with life vests too. you can get a nice fishing kayak that manages really well- better than a canoe.

I know it is a bit of a hike but you can rent a rowboat down at Fletchers down by Georgetown to fish the Potomac. Also another hike would be to go to Burke Lake or the Occoquan reservoir to fish in a row boat or electric motor powered boat. This way you don't have to transport the boat around.
