My wife and I tried La Cucina Italiano in Brambleton and really enjoyed it. I thought walking by that it would be a little expensive but the menu is full of choices for around $10. Very good service and food. We even met the owner Joe who has a lot of restaurant experience and a heck of a nice guy.

I think it's GREAT. We've been there 3 times, it pays to call ahead for seating. My only comment is about ambiance. I'd love to get my hands on redecorating the place. You won't feel like you are in an Italian romantic restaurant. The "sports bar" with TV's in the middle of the space certainly changes the mood, and the too loud show tunes and Frank Sinatra is better served at a restaurant the size of Maggiano's, but maybe they want to turn tables quicker..not a place I'd stay and order more wine after dinner. But the food/service is really good for the area.

Food is very good, service is excellent. Agree about the music, thought it was a bit overbearing last time we were there. LOVE the new addition!

Hubby and I finally found a place to replace San Vito's. Agreed place could have a lot better ambiance though and it'd be perfect.

We've eaten there several times. Food and service are both good.

I can't get past the overabundance of glaring florescent lights...

Agreed, food and service and hospitality are all top notch! And Joe will make sure that quality is maintained as he has at his previous restaurants.

This place is great. The food is really awesome. I eat out a lot and get burnt out on certain food but there is some unique flavors in this stuff that really keeps me interested. It's reasonably priced. One night we went there and it was half price bottle of wine night and the whole bottle was $9 (can't comment on my wife's taste) which is unheard of in a restaurant. I agree the ambience is all over the place. The owner is a character and the people are really gracious though. We prefer to go here over Blue Ridge now.

I love this place! It does look rather expensive but it really isn't that bad. The customer service is wonderful and the food is terrific!

I found the manager to be kind of cheesy and distracted. The service was OK. The food was definitely not on par with restaurant Italian, it was more fast food/chain like. The menu was also very small and the wine list non existent of anything nice worth more than 10 bucks in a store.

Update: While I was out of town, my husband + 3 kids went there. He said they seated every person before them even if they arrived after. After 40 mins, he threw the menu at them and told them to go...... THEN the mgr ran out asking what was the matter??? Really? A man and 3 kids, and he's the last man standing. It is forbidden for us to spend a dime there!! Ha! Way to make one helluva first impression!

We refuse to eat there because every time we drive by, there are 2+ employees hanging out by the side entrance, smoking.

You can go outside any number of restaurants and see employees smoking behind/next to. What does them smoking outside have to do with eating there?

We have had nothing but good service and food.

$60 for a Sunday lunch for 4 is a bit steep in my opinion. If that's the price range they're in, that is fine, but it means I would eat there very infrequently. At that price range, I'd say the food is passable but nothing special. Of the four dishes, only one diner rated theirs as "delicious".

Not too many places that aren't fast food or chains that 4 adults can eat for less than $60.

Wow... I would love to see a list of restaurants where 4 adults can sit down, be waited on, and spend less than $60 for dinner.

As for the smoking... I HATE smoking... but sadly some people are addicted and we non-smokers have successfully pushed them out of doorways, away from main travel paths, out of restaurants, etc... why can't they stand on the side of a building where very few people even walk by? I SERIOUSLY hate smoking, but let's be a little reasonable.

We ate there last Sunday. Can't say we'd eat there again. The food was not very good. We could go to Blue Ridge Grill next door for the same price and get a consistently great meal. Sorry, but this restaurant gets a thumbs down from me and my family.
