So there's a yogurt shop in every center now or close to it. Whenever we pass Zinga in Ashburn Farm that place is HOPPING!! I mean, it's like there's always an event or something or they're just plain busy. Is is really that good? I noticed their fb page was very good so they're using social media well. Other than that it's like the total bees knees for some reason. So what's up with that place!!!

Well, its delicious - its immaculate and staffed by kids who are friendly and helpful. Its also large enough that its not hard to get to the yogurt and there are plenty of places to sit... our kids love it!

simplicity is its success, and its always stocked (hint hint BR!). And its rather inexpensive. But I too am amazed and kick myself that I didn't open the place!

And it's self-serve and a bazillion flavors and a million types of toppings. I think it is GREAT.

It seems to be a very good deal. I usually spend about $3 for a nicely-filled cup...compare that to some ice cream places. Oh, and I like to put some toppings in the bottom of the cup (I guess I should call them bottomings), then yogurt, then more toppings. Delicious!

My awesome neighbors told me about "bottomings" last time I went there and it's definitely a great idea :2thumbs:

Zinga is simply great and a good value. Our family are big fans and we wish they would have opened in Broadlands - would have made a great place to take a walk to during a summer evening for a treat.

It's so much cheaper than most comparable places. And it's very clean. Three of us can get out the door for about $6 and not totally deprive ourselves. I paid $4 for a super small ice cream cone at Baskin Robbins once. Value for the money...

I've never been to Zinga, but Sweet Frog over in Brambleton is our fav. Sounds like the same kind of place, self serve yogurt and toppings. Sweet Frogs are popping up everywhere too. Seems like the type of franchise to own. Maybe Broadlands Marketplace should get one!

In the shopping center with Giant/Exxon/McDonalds on claiborne just on the other side of the greenway.

These types of 'self-serve yogurts' are showing up everywhere under all kinds of names. Doesn't seem to be a dominate one out there.

I like it because it's reasonably priced (we average ~$3-4 a person) and the kids like it.

Not blockbuster but some other video chain, then a small workout gym. It's in the Ashburn Junction plaza with Giant, Starbucks and McDonald's, on the opposite end of Nagoya closest to Claiborne Parkway. You just can't beat the value! So tired of spending $15.00+ on ice cream for the family that was mediocre. SweetFrog's in Brambleton is the same concept but MUCH smaller than Zinga. Sweetberry in Leesburg Village Center is good but not self-serve.

Costco (at least the Leesburg store) sells Zinga gift cards, five $10 cards for $40.

sweet frog is also really nice - just smaller and can feel a bit cramped and you have to ask for cups for samples vs at zinga where you get them yourself... but its super cute and really clean and the people are very nice...
