WooHoo! Had dinner there tonight! Loved it!
First comment from daughter (who doesn't eat much), "I'm putting my hair back!"

We tried different menu items: Chicken Parm-delish, tangy tomato sauce; steak and cheese-delish, soft roll, yummy everything; shrimp alfredo-delish, not to heavy, big shrimp, crunchy broccoli; kid's chicken fingers-all gone! fries are very good; Kids spaghetti and meatball-all gone!! Salads are fresh and crunchy and the dressings are very tasty.

Only thing left are the cannolis-for those we must take a break, regroup and indulge!

Bravo Rubinos-Great job tonight! So glad you're here :2thumbs:

We got takeout. Phenomenal like the other locations! Glad to finally have a solid hoagie shop in the neighborhood again since Puccios left us years ago.

Ordered pizza for takeout tonight. This is my first experience with any of the Rubino's locations, and my margherita pizza was very flavorful, but the middle of the crust was wet and soggy. My kids' cheese pizza was also a bit soggy in the middle, but not as bad. Is that typical in your experience? (As we ate closer to the edge it was perfect.)

Our family ate there on the opening day and it was wonderful!! However, we went back a couple of days later for lunch and my husband's stromboli looked and tasted like it was left over from the night before. I don't think this is the norm but if it happens again, I will probably mention it to the owner because I think he really wants to succeed and cares about what his customers think. I still rate it a thumbs up for now!:2thumbs:

We have loads of family visiting from out of town, and placed a big order for take-out tonight. Everything we ordered was delicious. Each of us sampled a little bit of everything, from the calzone to the Knuckle Sandwich, to the barbecue chicken pizza. We are thrilled they're here!

We ate there yesterday. I had the Classic Ruben sandwich and my husband had the Fat Paulie sub. Both were great! we will eat there again, next time with kids in tow. :)

I asked the owner what I should try since I have never been to one of their locations. He recommended the Knuckle Sub...Yummy! I also picked up a slice and felt it was pretty good. Hope they continue, it's a really nice location.

The nice thing is....as a family you can go to a bright clean reastaurant....sit at a table and eat....but with out wait service or formality.....(no tip...more importantly...very relaxed)

The food is on the high end of what you would expect from a pizza joint.....not gourmet or organic...but good

We have been going to Rubninos in the VIllage for a while and are happy it is now in our community

Did they keep the wood pizza grill that was in Flat Bread or are they using regular ovens now?

Tonight got the Joey Muffeletta (not exactly the real deal - as compared to New Orleans) but it was really good! Pizza Margarita - yummy. Rigatoni Bolonese - pasta was undercooked. But 2 out of 3.

Regular ovens. I asked the owner about how they got that beast out of there - they said they wrote into the lease a clause forcing the landlord to get it out before they moved in.

FYI...some of the items they have listed on the on-line menu for the Ashburn location are no longer available so just beware of that when placing a phone order.

And I noticed that some of the items are priced differently online than they are on the regular menu. And then there's a third price when you go to the store!

Ate there with my daughter and not impressed. Personally I think self-serve pizza for mediocre pizza reheated by the slice and ~$15 chicken marsala with gummy pasta and canned sauce is not worth repeating...

I've eaten there several times and gotten takeout several times as well. My family loves their pizza and salads. The only pasta we got was a ravioli with pesto and it was delicious, but pricey. Too pricey IMHO.

Nice local place to go with the family for a casual meal.

Are we talking about the same Rubino's that's down on the other end of Claiborne Pkwy, by Rt. 7?

B/c their food isn't very good. I really had hoped I'd found the local pizza joint I crave, but it was a disappointment. Went twice and stopped.

Bummed we can get so few good restaurants near us. Yet another strike out.
