I currently go to Broadlands Family Practice, but am considering switching to Leesburg Sterling Family Practice. I am wondering if anyone goes there has any positive or negative feedback?

Also, anyone who goes to Broadlands FP, any feedback on them? Specifically any doctors there you would recommend? I have only been there a couple of times for minor things and it was fine, but have heard a few negative things about them which has me thinking of switching.

    Thanks!

+3 on Dr. Cohn. He is fantastic. He is thoughtful, thorough doctor - I've never felt rushed or dumb for asking questions. He has been our family's primary for 5+ years. Dr. Rodriguez is also great. The nurses are top notch, especially Kristen - who is so patient with our little guy, Carla always makes me laugh and Sam usually manages to get a vein - I'm a hard stick...so I really appreciate a nurse (like Kristen or Sam) who can just stick me once to draw blood. I get the feeling that the doctors at Broadlands Family Practice treat their entire support staff with respect & dignity and they all truly like working with each other.

Luckily, our family have never had any problems with getting a same day appointment or getting follow up info on labs, test etc. And BFP's expanded Saturday hours are a real plus.

A couple of months ago I looked into switching to Leesburg/Sterling. I made the assumption this was just a "new office", but quickly realized that they are in no way affiliated with Broadlands Family Practice or their "parent" company Fairfax Family Centers.

    Hope that helps.

We've been at Leesburg Sterling for the past 12-13 years. I don't have any real positives or negatives, they are your run of the mill GP. I see 4 specialists for the things that I really need/want monitored but LSP is where I go for a headcold, poison ivy, etc. We see one nurse practitioner that we really like and we have been with her for most of 12+ years. When my husband was admitted to the hospital, he was cared for by one of the doctors who was really very good. There are other doctors and NP's there who don't give you the attention I think you deserve and we try and avoid all but our preferred NP unless we're "dying" and can't get an appt but need meds. It works for us at this point in time.

I take my kids to a pediatrician, they don't go to LSP. When my oldest outgrows the ped, I'll likely look into another GP for him and us. I don't think I like their office for my kids, even once their teens.

Dr. Mary Renard. I have been going to see her since we moved here 5 years ago, and she is wonderful. Always has the time for questions. I highly recommend her.

Can I ask if you all go to the Broadlands Family Practice office in Ashburn or thier office in the Brambleton? Or does it matter? Do all the doctors service both offices? Thanks!

Most typically rotate on different days. The brambleton office is just in the town center.. less than 5mins away.

Based on all the great reviews, I made an appt with Dr. Renard but due to a last minute change ended up seeing Dr. Wilder. I absolutely loved her! She made me feel at ease and took all the time needed to answer all of my questions. Office staff was great too!
