Hi, I was wondering what other people's experience was with kids and ipods and traveling. We will be doing a fair amount of travel this summer - airplanes, hotels, cars, sightseeing - how do you keep track of the ipod/chargers/ear buds? I've looked on line for travel bags and especially some type of security cable/locking system but haven't found anything! It will be summer so I can't expect them to keep it in their pockets (which they could be pick pocketed anyway). They won't always be able to keep it in their luggage either. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Then why bother with it at all. If the trips are short family excursions it'll be be one less worry and more family quality time.

They won't be short trips - minimum 8 to 10 days. Plus, with a hyperactive child - the iPod is a godsend when traveling.

We have 2 similarly "active" kids and travel quite a bit too. You just have to make it a priority to know where the devices are at all times. My wife is usually responsible as she almost always has her purse to put the iPods in.

For planes and such, we almost always have a separate travel bag for the electronics.

I'd also put the ipods in a Otter Box case. The cases are big and make the ipod nearly indestructible and much harder to misplace.

http://pacsafe.com/ is cool if you're worried about thieves cutting the strap... My MIL gave us some, but we don't travel that much so we sold em.
