The bathroom fan vents from the second floor baths exit the side of the house above the second floor ceilings - way up there. Last spring nesting birds destroyed the vent flaps to build a nest, and come egg-laying season, I expect to have new guests arrive.

Can someone recommend an aerial artist to: A. Climb a ladder about 25-30 feet, and B. Install new vents and some kind of wire mesh cover to keep new arrivals from destroying them again.

    Thank you

We had a similar situation a few years ago in our previous home. We called the pest control folks (Superior, now called pest now) and had the mesh covers installed. If I recall right, one of the vents was two floors high, 20+ feet.

FYI - Pest Now no longer removes birds. They will put the cover up. Bird removal is "too extensive" (their words).

I guess that they just want to come in and spray for termites.

A Plus Air Duct Cleaning Inc. stated this morning that they no longer do this service. Does anyone else have any recommendations?

We had a bird and nest a few years back in the bathroom vent. I got the leaf blower nozzle to cover the hole after removing the fan, and blew all of it out. Then I replaced the big flap model with the triple vent.

I got Larry Miller Inc. to do the job. He advertises in the back of the Broadlands magazine. He did a very fine job, fair price, and solved the problem.

I would also recommend Larry Miller. He's great to work with and good about taking on odd jobs that require someone to climb a very tall ladder.
