The HOA plows did a great job in my section of Southern Walk.

Agreed the Hoa contractor is doing an excellent job.

1st picture is what VDOT left (around 9:30am) at the intersection of a VDOT/HOA street. The 2nd picture shows the Hoa plows (11:30ish), impressive.

I am curious does anyone know the County or HOA snow removal policy for sidewalks that have been buried by snowplows?

2nd picture also shows 11 feet of snow on top of the sidewalk, I'm not sure it's humanly possible to remove.

Super impressed with the HOA plows. I was up late working and the plows started clearing my street around 1am. I'm sure VDOT will take awhile to get to everything.

They showed up about one hour ago, just in the nick of time. It's starting to freeze out and I thought I heard more snow is expected.

I have not been impressed with the HOA plows. Still a foot of snow on Windy Oaks Sq as of 2PM and no plows have been through in the past 12 hours. I can see Village Dr and Claiborne from my windows and they look fine, I just can't get to them.

No plows on Bankbarn Terrace either. Normally HOA plows have our street cleared way before Ellzey is even touched.

Snow plow just came through Autumnwood Square -- my two car garage driveway is now complete blocked in because they pushed the snow to my end of the cul-de-sac. Who do I contact to get this resolved. I let it go last time because I could get one of the cars out but there is just too much snow this time. DSCN2567.JPG

I feel bad for these guys. They're running out of place to put all the snow. That's probably why they haven't yet touched many culdesacs because they don't know what to do with it all. We are on a VDOT street and we have one lane plowed.

Call the HOA office and leave a message if you don't get an answer (offices are closed today). The staff can contact the contractor when they get your message and attempt to rectify the situation. You can also keep an eye out when the plow comes back and talk to the driver.

Thanks Eric - I think I have enough of it out of the way to get one of the cars out without getting stuck.

I will definitely leave the HOA a call. Was hoping that they had an email address or monitored this forum.

I'm on Arbor Glen Court (a VDOT street). A plow came through last night around 10:30, and one came by this afternoon and did one stripe down the center. I just need to clear out 5 feet of snow between my driveway and the plowed stripe and I'll be able to get out.

Here's Windy Oaks Sq at 3:45pm. You can see Village Dr in the distance which is clean black pavement. The driveways and sidewalks that were being shoveled at noon have now completely melted. The street, however, which hasn't been plowed since around 1 or 2am, is still covered in packed snow. The road is also only 1 lane wide due to all the snow that had to be piled in the street because there was no where else to put it.

    Here is better perspective.
Picture #1 is Village Dr at Windy Oaks Sq, facing east at 4:07pm
Picture #2 is Windy Oaks Sq, 90 degrees to the right of picture #1.

They came down Thornhill Place and stopped before they made it to the cul-de-sac. Basically left half the street unplowed. Had to shovel a path for cars to get out.
