No one is saying drive at full speed in a lane of traffic and slam your brakes on for someone to cross; just slow down, be cautious and sure, I know it's a shock around this area, but maybe it's nice to show courtesy if no one else is being held up - cars also have to pay attention and stop when someone is mid way across the road.

That law has many obscurities that shouldn't be or are never likely to be enforced - maybe stopping is illegal, I classify two or more lanes as a highway but sure, you may have spent your time looking that up and ok, let's say you're right - so what. You've turned a thread about a new cycle saftey law into a rant about a poorly designed crossing system that doesn't really protect the bikes. You make it sound like we should keep out foot down and let's hope one of those dirty biker scum step into the road - it's your constitutional right to hit them with your Prius.

And next time you want to act like a child and end your holier than thou rant with a PUHLEEEESE I will treat it with the contempt with which it deserves and not reply.

I think I'm done with this forum of know it alls.

You'll hear no more from me on the subject. You win.

As my wife likes to quote; "the road to hell is paved with good intentions"
How about we all simply drive the speed limit and OBEY traffic signs and rules. Those on the path have a stop sign for a reason, SAFETY! I have been in numerous car backups (just think of how bad it could be during rush hour is there a bunch of "courteous" drivers), seen a few people lockup brakes, and witnessed one minor rear-ending all at that crosswalk.

Greenway and RT 28 are enough for me for keeping pedal to the metal, I am all nice and well-mannered in and around the communities. Oh, I have a bike and drive a SUV or minivan.

Acting like a child IS my constitutional right and I will continue to exercise said right on this forum whenever I choose! :devil2:
As for postinus know-it-alls... your earlier post "Officer didn't sound to smart - the person on their phone breaking the law would be the cause of the accident - and rear ended is their fault. Its not illegal to be courteous and let someone cross a road - poppycock." makes it sound like you kinda know-it-all. HYPOCRISY I SAY!

Sorry my posts riled you up, but maybe you are right to bow out if silly and inane mixed with actual facts get you so upset.

    Winning is better than losing!

Don't stop. It is not courteous. It is dangerous.
