As part of our latest upgrades you will find minor additions to the forum experience that you can self-discover as you use the site.

One of the most useful though is the new 'select to quote' feature. Previously when quoting a message in a reply, the default was to quote the entire message.. and you could edit the message to your liking using the typical text editor commands. Now, there is an even easier way

Simply use your mouse to hightlight part of a message, and as soon as you stop, you will be given the option to quote or multi-quote the text. Quote will start a new reply with just the highlighted text quoted. Multi-quote allows you to build up a list of quotes before starting your message (which works well if quoting from many different pages, etc). You can use the quote feature multiple times in the same message.

Another new feature of interest is the auto-saving of drafts. The site will automatically save your messages as drafts as you type them. If you get disconnected, or browser closes, etc and need to use your saved draft, just view the thread again, and your draft will appear in the post editor automatically if available.

Is there a delete option if you decide 'not' to use a quote previously saved in draft form?

Most direct way is to simply delete the quoted text in your reply. But if you have a msg queued up in the multi-quote, and need to remove it, after you've quoted from a message, the +Quote button under the message should change to a -Quote button. clicking it will remove your quote. You can also use the 'remove' link in the screen showing all your queued up quotes when you click the 'Insert Quotes' button. Once it's in your reply, I think the most direct way is to just delete that part of the text. As long as you use the quote opening and closing tags correctly, you can edit and manipulate to your desire.
