Broadlands HOA Board

    The Declarant, Van Metre, recently settled on its last residential lot. Therefore, the two seats the Declarant has on the Broadlands HOA Board of Directors has expired.
    At the next Annual Meeting in May, 2016, the Board will consist of 9 resident elected Board members.

    No. Their votes expired with their seats. Van Metre Apartments will still have 32 or so votes.

    VaCliff,

    So everytime an apartment is vacant, they add a vote or they own all the 32+ apartments whether its vacant or not? How does that work?

    Apartment owners get one vote for every 10 units. It doesn't matter whether the units are occupied or not because they still "own" them.
    I think the Van Metre apartments has 320 units, so they get 32 votes. The Arbors apartments has 240 units, so they get 24 votes.
