Thanks. I had a good conversation with someone from Practia and he gave me a much lower cost estimate. Practia had good reviews on Yelp and Home Advisor so I was curious if anyone had previous experience with the company.

After that good conversation with Practia, I couldn't get anyone from Practia to return my phone calls and therefore never was able to schedule them for my TV installation. I ended up calling The Deck Hands (http://thedeckhandsllc.com/) as interior work is listed on the website and I had a great experience using them for my deck. Tom Wilson installed the TV mount, added a power outlet, hid the HDMI cables within the wall, and hung the TV. He did a great job at a good price.

I'm about to mount my 50 inch TV and plan to do it myself. 20$ Amazon prime TV mount, 10$ wall mounting hardware (we have metal studs so need some specialized heavy duty drywall anchors), and about 30 minutes is all it takes. Helps to have someone to lift it with you but I've done it myself before.

Also going to hide the wires and mount the speakers on the sides. The extra power drop is the trick. I use an extension cord in the wall with multiple drops.

I had a very good experience with Practia last month. They were very responsive and worked very diligently to complete the work. In addition to wall-mounting, I also had them assemble media cabinets/wall mount top-cabinet etc.

I left messages on the Sales number, on one of the representative's work number, and the rep's cell number that he had provided to me. I couldn't get anyone to call me back to schedule them to install. I was all ready to move forward. My job must not have been big enough but I would have loved to get a return call (which I still have not gotten).

    I totally understand your frustration.

I submitted my request online and got a call immediately to discuss. From there on, our communication was mostly via emails, most of the time they were very prompt.

Extension cord in the wall is the trick.. and the part that is not to code :) If you can fish an extension cord.. you could fish a real cable easy enough. Just daisy chain the outlet and put in a real one.

I submitted a request online, too, after my phone calls were not returned. I was surprisingly overly patient after of my initial conversation with Doug.

Not planning on selling the house with the cord in there :) wanna go by code that new outlet needs to be inspected. Make sure the ground has the proper number of twists...
