Where can we get exterior Light Fixtures for our Broadland Courtyard homes. I have looked everywhere for those darn ugly gold lights for front door and garage that are dusk to dawn. No one can replace them because they are non existent. They are also too small for the home. What can you suggest?

Choose (not buy) what you would like and submit an application, with pictures to the Modifications Sub-Committee. "Most" new lights get approved as long as all the lights, including the lamp post, match.

I wouldn't be too concerned if your lights don't match - they never seem to do a follow-up inspection which is obvious by all the mismatches on our street. New paint colors is another example...

Homeowner will run into problems when they go through resale inspection and they will have to remedy any modification violations with the closing deadline looming. That won't be fun.

BINGO! The Mod-Sub-Comm sees LOTS of applications these days for people who have made modifications without approval. Many homeowners in a panic as closing is fast approaching.

A violation is a violation and it shouldn't be 'allowed' for the term of their residency until the homeowner has a resale inspection. That's ludicrous. There are homeowners who have no intention of selling or decide to rent their property, instead.

Are you for or against homeowners complying with HOA rules? In one post you encourage OP to ignore the rules, and then in another you said a violation is a violation. As far as I know, HOA does follow up with modifications that are submitted and approved to ensure compliance from homeowners.

I was being sarcastic. How could you misconstrue the meaning. I guess I should have added a smilie;)
