This year, Broadlands Association, Inc. is using an online registration and virtual ID process for all members to access our pools – this means NO MORE PHYSICAL CARDS to carry or lose! All residents who wish to gain access to our pools are required to register and come in for new pictures.
DON'T WAIT! Register NOW and come in for pictures to the HOA office to avoid long lines during the season. Click for MORE INFORMATION AND REGISTRATION LINK>>

What will be the policy at the pool in the instance where the system is down or not accessible? I assume that guest passes could not be processed either if the system is down?

what's the policy going to be when English is a second language family tries to talk to the English is a second or third language summer hire and spell names and streets they aren't familiar with?

this entire thing feels like a massive leap backwards. Never mind the privacy issues of asking people and children to dictate their home s address and names to people that really have no need for it and in a public setting around other people who don't need to overhear it.

Do we have to use this new system? Or can we still use the old cards if we choose too?

    Hi Mike,

We upgraded to a brand new system and dispensed with the old one. This saved the association a bunch of money by not having to replace computers and physical servers. We opted for a software that is totally web based and allows owner to input their own information. Our software license with the old system has been terminated, so we have no way to utilize the old cards.

    Thanks!

    Steve,

Thank you for attending the recent Board meeting and discussing your concerns. As noted, the old system was archaic and expensive to maintain. This new one is fully web based. Owners will not be required to spell out street names as the software will populate as soon as a name or street number is being typed in. While we do expect some growing pains as we would with any new system, we felt this one was better financially and administratively. We will work through issues as they arise.

    Thanks!

I feel the same way. This makes me want to just walk past the lifeguards and not deal with it. Not everyone has a last name of Smith or Baker. A better approach would be to give a short 5 digit or so ID number, then your picture pops up on the screen. Really just need to add a row to the database. This was poorly thought out.
