Thursday, Sep 3rd, they didn't pick up recyclables so yesterday, the recycling bins are overflowing but they got emptied.

On Monday, Sep 7th, they skipped the lawn bags (mine is pretty soggy now from the rain.)

    Yesterday, they skipped the trash.

On average, something gets missed every two months. I usually call at 4ish when the truck missed a pickup and they dispatch one if there's one in the vicinity. Didn't call them yesterday as I went in to the office and got home after they closed at 5pm. Called again this AM to inform them and get asked the standard question.

"What time did you put your trash out?" 5am. I tell the agent everyone's bins are still sitting curbside, full.

"Let me check the truck schedule to see when they picked up." Uh, no. They didn't pick up which is why I'm calling.

I also mention that I watch for the trucks from my desk so I can put them away and get on with my day but that I was not home yesterday. She says "so you were not home to see whether the truck came by?" Tell her I'm sure the truck didn't come by as I'm looking out my window this moment and can count 7 full bins. (scratching head emoji)

So what are the odds one street in our community has so many hiccups? (redundant)

I've noticed the same, no recycling picked up on the 3rd and missed trash although that didn't happen to us yesterday. Does seem like it's happening more often now.

Hmm, the agent said there would be no pickup today yet the truck arrived a moment ago (as I scramble to give them my bins.) I guess posting here sometimes has it's benefits.

Can you please contact our office at info@broadlandshoa.com and provide your address so that Patriot can investigate the concerns you're raised?

I believe they keep logs to record calls because I can hear them typing on the keyboard.

It looks like the HOA staff is willing to try and help you with this situation. If you don't want to provide more info as they requested, then I'm not sure how much more they can do. A simple email to the address provided or a quick call will likely get your issue resolved quickly. Is that too much to ask?

Be careful....if they pick up on a non-standard day, don't leave the bin out b/c the HOA car will be lurking to snap a picture and send a nasty gram about having your bins out on a non-trash day.

If that happens, brings in your bins once Patriot picked up the trash and recycling. After receiving the HOA notice, simply contact the HOA and inform that the matter is resolved. Case closed!

Not sure if it's an HOA car or a pesky neighbor but it happened to me.

I'm trying to understand this one. We purchased some new furniture this weekend and the packaging is the typical cardboard box with a TON of Styrofoam and other non recyclable's and it's easier to just throw the boxes away with all of the packaging material inside. Not huge boxes by any means but Patriot didn't take them. I really can't understand why as they were all closed up and taped up. I've been noticing Patriot just deciding not to take a lot of things they used to take.

I'll be giving them a call tomorrow and see what the excuse is

Same thing has happened to us. They will take it Thursday as that is the recycling day.

the way that I understand it, the only things that are picked up on Mondays are the things in the trash bin as they only send one guy with a mechanical arm to dump the bin. nobody gets out of the truck so if it's not in the bin, it's not getting picked up. I believe that Thursdays are the day to put that out as they send multiple people and dump the bins by hand.

Not necessarily. I have several neighbors who mail order a lot yet do not recycle, and their cardboard always gets picked up on Mondays. We are in TH's so that may be the difference.
