Need Advice car donation

Hi.
Has anybody made a recent car donation to a local charitable organization?
Is there an organization you would recommend?
How is the process?
How do you determine the value for tax deduction purposes? Thanks.

Several years ago, I tried Vehicles for change. The process was painless but the persistent follow-up emails asking for money were annoying.

Last year, due to a weird set of circumstances, I donated a car to WETA. It was also painless and entitled me to free WETA streaming access for a year (the result of having donated more than $60).

In both cases, they sold the car at auction and sent me the tax documents needed to claim the deduction. The deductible amount is what it sold for.
