I have always had a soft spot for the Saints -- I was hoping that they had turned their season around, but the loss to the Rams last weekend was baffling.

I agree that the last 3+ years have been mediocre at best, but this doesn't tarnish the 10+ years of terrific football that Gibbs' teams played in the 80's/early 90's. No Redskins fan who watched then will ever forget that era. It was somewhat comparable to the Pats run through this decade (though the Pats have been the dominant team during this stretch while the Redskins played a bit of a second fiddle to the 49ers and the one-year wonder that was the '85 Bears), though I believe that Gibbs' accomplishments might have been more impressive as he was never blessed with a Hall of Fame QB (and I think that Brady will go down as one of the Top 5 to ever play the position, possibly even the best).

It's a different sport, but I have always equated Cowboy fans with Yankee fans (obnoxious bandwagon types). As for Notre Dame, I don't love or hate them -- I just think that college football is more fun when that program is competitive.

How about obnoxious gloating?! You earned the right 3 years ago. Enough already. Act like you've been there before, ha ha.

The so-called obnoxious fans are probably bandwagon fans. Doubt many suffered thru the 86 WS like true fans (I threw a collectible beer stein into my brick fireplace when they lost game 6!)

If I had access to them, I would have thrown Kaos' Pots (and his Va Tech glass) into the fireplace during the 4th Quarter of Sunday's Skins-Eagles game.

Thank god I was at work during that game (I was suppose to go to Fed-Ex). I got to watch brief minutes of the game. I was stunned with the final 5 minutes of the game!!!

I normally have forgiven the Redskins by now for an inexplicable loss like this...NOT YET...NOT THIS TIME. :redmad:. I'm so :censored:'n pissed they gave that gave away. No excuse for that. How do you shut down an offense like Detroit has, hang in to the VERY end against Greenbay and NY, then lose to a 3-5 team? Season's over! Whelp...there's always hockey!

BTW...Cowboys may win this weekend, but they still SUCK!

I would have preferred something that acknowledged that they were the underdogs and they were going to give it their best shot to win. Same thing this week. Of course, the Skins are just one game behind in the playoff race at this point. Just like with the Patriots, I'm hoping the Skins win, I'm just expecting they'll lose. Here's a real homer comment for you -- you know, we're about the same as the Cowboys -- the Patriots kicked both our butts.
