I'll take the win, but what a mess of a game that was tonight. I know the conditions were bad, but man that was ugly. At least it keeps the Skins in contention for another week. How many Skins fans thought they were going to blow another second half lead ? With the Giants down 22 - 10 and driving late 3rd/early 4th quarter, I definitely thought the game was going to slip away.

What do you think of Todd Collins? Seems to be a steady leader, doesn't make mistakes, gives you a chance to win.

Amazing after all their mediocre play this year that they are still in the playoff hunt. Minnesota has been playing really, really good football so this next game will be a big challenge, but you never know...

Put in a University of Michigan QB and good things happen! Just ask the Patriots!

Smith actually did a very good job after Boller went down. He moved the team for the tying field goal (should have gone for the win) and he moved them for the OT FG miss.

He didn't miss the field goal or play the bad D in OT. :D

You know who would've done better...someone from Appalachian State! Looking forward to ruining Rich Rodiguez career

    Go Buckeyes!

They do play one there too and UM would not play in that one either since they lost to Appy State! :D

Agreed. I like Smith and think he'll be a good QB.

Appy State would have finished 1st or 2nd in the Big 10 this year.

    Probably not.

The game against UM was more of an abberation than anything else. Let them play 10 times and UM probably wins the next 9.

Also, the other Big Ten teams would have not taken them so lightly, as UM did. The size advantage of Big 10 teams would also take its' toll on AS leading to injuries, especially on the lines.
AS has some very good skill players but they cannot match up player for player with any Big 10 team cept maybe Minn or Northwestern, and even these teams pose certain problems for AS.

From the looks of it AS didn't even win their own conference (yes I know they won the DivIAA title) as they ended the season tied with Wofford with a 5-2 conference record but yet one of their two losses were by Wofford.

Yeah, all-time records are nice to cite when your team has not being doing well recently :D.

For me, this is why I pretty much only count games since I was born (wasn't around in 1897 for the 1st game). Since 1960, OSU 24-21-2 versus UM with RECENT history being even nicer! ;)
