Yes ours came back yesterday (we left for a few days over the holidays) and I had a gag attack. I've compiled a list to present to VM (during an HOA meeting) but I dont have the free time to go door to door and ask...

Folks, if a lot of people have a stench, there's a problem. This is not normal.

I have the stench in the sink from time to time. It seems to be worse in the winter but I could be wrong. Does anyone else think it is worse when it is cold out?

We still have the stench out of 3 sinks total (2 in the master bath and 1 in a full upstairs bath). I don't think it's worse during the winter though...at least that's what I think.

We had VM finish the bathroom in the basement as well and we were well aware of the whole sewer smell if it's not used often. The bathroom in the basement hardly ever gets used and it's never smelled in there. It's very strange.

I don't use any hair products that get washed down the drain and the stench from my sink is just as bad as the other two sinks affected.

It's very bizarre how common, yet uncommon, the stench is. We're all experiencing it, but under different conditions. Which must mean it's the pipes! I have no idea, but it's something I'd like to go away no matter what.

Something to consider, if the water in the trap evaporates you will get a nasty smell, that's one reason why sinks have a u bend to hold water. With little used sinks or floor drains, just run the tap or pour in some water and you won't have the odor if that's the cause of the problem.
