Free Burrito Monday!!!

I just got the most interesting bit of Spam:

Have you eaten at a California Burrito before? Any good?

 

they did a similar promo when they opened in Lansdowne0 or was it Brambleton...? anyway- i think it's real!
any yes they are good IMO- lotsa sauces to choose from. i like balanced food- not too much of any one thing unless it's cheese, which you can almost NEVER have too much of... so the guy who made my quesadilla got it right...

 

I've tried it a few times and found it to be alright but honestly I'd prefer Chipotle, Moe's, Tijuana Flats, or Baja Fresh over California Burrito (and in that order). Not that it was bad, it just wasn't for me. I do believe I am in the minority though as everyone else I know seems to love it. As this forum has taught me over and over, you just need to see for yourself and make your own opinion.

 

Yep, the free burritos deal at California Tortilla is legitimate. There was an ad in the paper for it and they've done that promotion whenever they've opened the (many) new locations in this area. I haven't been to the opening events but from what I hear you should get there early!

I think their food is okay, but nothing special. The burritos are HUGE but include a lot of rice. I think you can ask them to go easy on the rice, though if you want. I like Tijuana Flats better, but there's nothing wrong with California Tortilla, maybe just a little more bland.

 

The only downside is that you have to drive into the shopping center from h*ll!!
