First off we would like to thank ALL of you that have supported Puccio's for the past 5 years. Alison and I have truly enjoyed meeting all of you and making friendships along the way. As of today we will no longer be open for business. The past few months have been extremely hard for us and we have decided to cut our losses. The landlord BF Saul was not willing to work with us or give any sort of rent reduction. In this slowing economy and the amount of restaurants within 5 miles, I guarantee there will be MANY more to follow. We really did all we could to survive and have nothing left to give. Thanks again for all of your support and understanding. Puccio's in leesburg is still open till 3pm mon-sat. If anyone needs to reach me my email is poochpack@yahoo.com

We are truly sorry to hear that you are closing. Thank you for providing GREAT subs and sandwiches to the Broadland Community and also as a mom of one of your former employees, thank you for hiring so many teenagers from our community to work, they had a lot of fun and for a lot it was their first job, and I am sure they will not forget it.

Thank you! We'll miss having you so close by, but we'll make the trek to Leesburg when we can.

I echo that. On the news last night, the prediction is that we are on the verge of a 1980s-like recession like what we had with Reagan. So, we can soon expect that the # of stores open will soon be eclipsed by the # of ones shuttered.

Sorry to hear Puccio's is closing in Ashburn. We have been to both locations in Ashburn and Leesburg. Great place to eat!

Good luck to you in the future--

This is just not acceptable. Those Cheese Steaks are the best in the area! Well, Leesburg isn't THAT far away.

Seems like a bit of an exageration. I doubt more stores will close than will still be open.

Thank you all for your kind words. Just so there is no confusion, I will not be working out at Leesburg. It was my first store and I sold it a few years ago in order to help fund the Ashburn location. It pretty much has the same menu with just a few changes. I think I may take a break from the restaurant busniness for a while. Want to spend a bit more time with the family. It warms my heart to read all of your comments. Thanks again.

Honestly, I hope you are right and I'm wrong. It will be a hard time for a lot of people, especially small businesses like Puccios, for sure!

    Christian -

As one who works at the Gov't Center just a stone's throw from the Puccio's there, we've always enjoyed your sandwiches. If you can stomach it a few years from now, I'd encourage you to try again if/when the office buildings in Broadlands open up. They're planning on 4 or 5 buildings on Demott, I think, which could probably include retail on the first floor. Having that type of business would both help you attract customers and allow us to enjoy your sandwiches closer to home again.
