Hockey has long been considered a sport that not many people follow unless your a diehard. Just curious...with the Caps recent success and their ALLSTAR lineup...how many people will follow the caps this year vs. last year?

I am actually considering going to some of the games this year. I hear it's fun going to a hockey game.

If you have never been, it is SOOOOOOO much better in person than watching the game on TV. I highly suggest making the effort to get to the Verizon Center for a game. The Caps should have a great team this year.

I'm a Buffalo Sabres fan as I grew in just south of Buffalo. Ido like the Caps though and will watch them a bit more, but I always want the Sabres to beat the Caps when they play.

Gun Ohna - where in Buffalo did you grow up? I'm originally from East Aurora. I used to go to a lot of Sabres games, but I'm a die hard Bills fan! GO BILLS

Hope Edwards can play again this week, last week was bad. First he gets knocked out in the third play, and then our defense went home before the game ended and they left only the uniforms there playing.

Well, it IS pricey for sure. Real "good" seats will cost about $90/seat. You'd be in the lower reserve seats and very close (about 10-15 rows from the ice). One issue with sitting this close is that the glass can actually get in your way of seeing all the action. Worth it though with how close you are.
However, I find that sitting in the upper reserve in the ends is actually good too. You can see the plays develop and the Verizon center does a GREAT job of making you feel part like part of the crowd. For example, for opening night we sat four rows from the top (only thing we could find). While the seats where very close together and there wasn't much leg room, it was still AWESOME! Face value for those seats were $55/seat.
Try and get tickets...you won't regret it!

I prefer higher in the 100 level or 200 club level seats.

The game last night was great -- wish I was there! I was there for the home opener and it was a madhouse. GO CAPS!!!

I got to watch last night's game and the Caps looked great. I know it's just one game and it's early, but I liked what I saw. I just may have to subscribe to the hockey package or hope that Versus puts them on more often.

We were there for the home opener as well up in the nosebleeds. It was a great game and definitely a different crowd in that area. Heck, the guy in front of us had a Camelbak full of Jack smuggled in under his jersey and replica banner. Needless to say they had their fair share of "cokes" that night. We're going to game again this Saturday and this time we have the suite courtesy of my husband's father (whose company has the suite at the Verizon Center). It's going to be a great time!
