The next Trick or Treater over age 7 at Tatertown that doesn't say THANK YOU will be receiving a reprimand!!! If the little kids can do it, so can you. And I'm going to help you be a better citizen. Yeesh.

Same thing over here on Pea street...such a sad thing that the >7 crowd doesn't say Thank You...but the Tots say it with such gusto with cute smiles.

I cannot stand the big kids who don't even bother to dress up. I had a group of 12+ yr old boys who tried to come by my house twice and gave me grief when I called them on it. I told them, "no costume, no candy." I definitely brought my pumpkins in tonight - or else they will be smashed in the street in the morning.

Yeah these days if you don't give the teenagers what they want they will vandalize your stuff.

This not Trick-or-treat, this is an old fashioned protection shake down. :(

    Yeah,
The little ones are the best and they always say "thank you". My wife and I let the little ones choose what they want, but we have learned the older ones get what I pull out of the dish. I had some teen "*****" me out cause I didnt' give him a kit kat. If my wife wasn't there, I would have taken his candy and left him empty handed.

I guess we can consider ourselves lucky we don't live in SC

    http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/11/01/halloween.slaying.ap/index.html

Boy fatally shot trick-or-treating, police say

I would be really interested in what justification this jerk would have to shooting a 12 year old kids on Halloween.

Well, on an up note, The kids this year were cute as ever, although not as many as in years past. Did anyone else see a drop in the amount of Trick or treaters this year?

At our house it fluctuates widely. Last year we did not get that many but this year we have a pretty good turnout. Of course the weather was PERFECT!!!!!!

What a nice evening to herd the kids around extorting candy from the neighbours LoL

We still had well over 100 kids this year, although I was surprised that it seemed to drop off early for a Fri. night.

All the neighbors have children and take them Trick or Treating (to other neigborhoods) and not one parent stays behind to hand out candy. What's that about? It's happened over the last 8 years! So the street remains quiet except for a few children stopping by the one or two households giving out candy.

The Man took The Boy around while i stayed back and handed out candy. why go to another neighborhood? B-lands has AWESOME t-o-t'ing acc. to my son- lots of great decorations- some folks near our culdesac were handing out hot cider to the parents, a few fire pits were going- it was a really nice community event this year!

i noticed more of the girls were in modest costumes this year- not nearly as many looking like hookers as last year.

We had one kids dressed up as an order of French Fries...or was that Freedom fries (did not ask)

Anyway, it was a cute costume and one I had not seen before.

We noticed a drop off in # of kids this year. Thought since it was Friday we'd get more, but we didn't. Yes - the weather was awesome, but it was even warmer last year. Kids started coming to our house around 6:15 and stopped around 8...even that was shorter than last year.
