Lost Dog!

    Hi all,

    This is my first post to the forum and unfortunately in rather anxious circumstances. We moved in to our new home in Park Grove, Broadlands a few weeks ago and this morning one of our two dogs went missing.

    Leo is a male Rhodesian Ridgeback, very friendly, red wheaten in color, 100 lbs and 6 years old. I let both dogs out for their morning natures call before breakfast around 8:30am but only one returned. We have been searching all day to no avail so I am hoping he has been given refuge in a house in the neighborhood. I have contacted the local vets, animal control and the sheriffs dept but none have been contacted as yet.

    Got a picture???? I have no idea what a Rhodesian Ridgeback looks like.

    Hope you find him soon. It is too cold and wet for a dog to be out. :(

    Is the dog chipped?

    All,

    A quick update. I do not know the details yet but we were contacted this morning and our dreams were answered as our dog was recovered by Loudoun Animal Shelter yesterday. Going to pick him up later today. Thank you for the kind replies to my post.

    Very good news. Losing a dog is a terrible thing to endure (and not so fun for the dog)

    Mega kudos to Loudoun Animal Shelter for helping you get your dog back. :)

    Aww .. Leo looks like Jake at the dog club. Jake is such a big baby ... well he likes to play in the rough and ready pen, but he is still such a baby. And his fur is so soft ... Rhodesian Ridgebacks are beautiful dogs. Well, all dogs are beautiful.

    did you find the dog? there's a 'found' ridgeback that's at the shelter - it's in the loudoun section of the post today...
