We live in a townhouse in Broadlands North and are wanting to put a fence in our backyard.

Granted that we submit the application to HOA with all the given information and specs, are we allowed to install and build it ourselves or is it required that we hire someone?

If it is required .... any suggestions on a company?

We would really prefer to install ourselves.

You are more than welcome to build it yourself!

Do we need to get building or zoning permits along with the HOA approval?

i don't think you need a building permit for a fence, but you do need to call miss utility before you dig the post holes.

When we lived in Countryside we built our own fence at our townhouse and we did not have to get building permits. We did call Miss Utility and after they came we built the fence.
