ING Direct Banking - any opinions?

    Does anyone have experience with this bank? With the current economic situation and banking crisis I was just wondering about putting money with them. Thanks.

    I've never had any problems with them, I was with netBank until ING bought them out a year or two ago.

    If you ensure you put your money into FDIC ensured accounts/products, you have nothing to worry about.

    We have a savings account with them - great interest rates and I've never had any problems. I like it because I tend to "forget" the account so I'm not likely to spend from it :)

    I have an ING Direct Orange Savings account and love it. The site is very secure and it's so easy to setup transfers...it's my link between our two checking accounts and I have it linked to my online brokerage account.

    Same with us. Great interest rates, easy online transfers to external accounts, security is high. We've had a great experience. I opened up an account for myself and then took advantage of their $25 referral bonus and opened up accounts for my kids. Added an instant $25 for each account opened and $10 to my account for each since I was the one to refer. Easy money!
