As I was reading your post and got to the "give the poor donut guy.." I instantly thought of the DONUT GUY. I was thinking of when he meets himself at the door and say "you ALREADY made the donuts."

Too funny!!! All we need now is the "Where's the beef" lady, Bradleys and Woolworth to come back.

    Re:Delays in opening

A quick post to try and set the record straight. We are very excited and axious about becoming everyone;s new neighbor. People;s criticism about the unbelievable delay in opening this location is completely warranted and understood. No one is more disappointed than me. However I would like to explain that if I was in control of the project the store would have been open 3 years ago. Unfortunately I had no control..........the landlord was in complete control of the building and site work..........it was delay, after delay, after delay.........I have lost credibility with my bank, with Dunkin Brands Corporate, with my employees, and with potential future customers, not to mention...........in addition to the loss of much capital due to very expensive carrying costs and overhead costs to keep the location. Even when the landlord finally finished the building last December and said he would turn it over to us in 2 weeks our contractor had 95% of the interior work done in 6 weeks.........we have been waiting since mid-February with a trained 7 person crew, basically twiddling their thumbs to open.......the problem......the landlord continues to fail final inspections by the County due to his poor choices of General Contractors......of which he has had no less than 5 from since we got involved...........total ineptness..........so now you have heard our side of the story............Having said that I do look forward to becoming a good neighbor and creating an experience that our customers will enjoy.......Thanks Jimmy

They say good things come to those who wait! We are all glad you were able to "stick it out" and look forward to being customers soon!

I'm glad you explained the situation. I'm sure you'll get more business as a result. I will definitely be giving your store a try...I haven't been able to go to Dunkin' since I moved from Arlington in 2007...looking forward to it.

Hehehehe, less competition for the rest of us!

I'll make sure to have a dozen with me next time you come to Flicks in the Sticks!

Seriously though, when they do open, we need to all go and support this new place. We need to show to new businesses thinking of coming to Broadlands that it's worth their while.
