Anyone have "PC Login Now" or a similar program that I can borrow.

PC died and am now getting the the boot.ini and/or hal.dll file is missing or corrupt. I do not remember the password I created many moons ago to logon as administrator to attempt to correct the problem.

    Thanks in advance.

I have a bootable Linux password cracker ISO image. I can't find it on my work PC, must be at home. I can send it to you when I get home if that will help.

neo - I have an ISO image I am going to try tonight.

boomer - only PC's I have available that I can mount the drive on are at work. I am MOST CERTAINLY not going to use those. ;)

sucks to be me from a different perspective tho.

I have nothing on this PC that I need other than maybe my bookmarks and a file or 2 that can be recreated. It is my wife who did not backup her "paid for" music to the external HD.

Don't really need a password cracker per se if all you want to do is move files of the PC. Any bootable linux ISO should be able to get you access to your files. Ubunto is a nice one that I have used. If you want to reset your password, again just google for password crackers. You will find dozens of them out there that will work perfectly.

yeah, try a bootable linux distro. http://www.knoppix.net/ is a pretty good one that would have everything you need to get all the files on your hard drive.
